Lisa W. Marum

After more than 30 years of working with words—presently I am the copy chief at Parents magazine and I’ve been a senior editor at Ovation and Classical magazines—I am enjoying the challenge of working with images. I became interested in digital photography (particularly nature and travel photography) a few years ago when my late husband and I were able to do some traveling. Our journeys have taken us from south of the equator to north of the Arctic Circle.

I have had a solo show at the Riverdale‐Yonkers Ethical Cultural Society entitled “Creatures of the Galapagos and Other Characters,” and in February 2014 I had an exhibit at the Riverdale Y Gallery 18 entitled “Old World Synagogues and Other Sites.” Several of the photos from that show are on display in the boardroom at the Riverdale Y.

As a member of the Riverdale Art Association I’ve participated in group shows at the Grinton Will Library in Yonkers, the Bronxville Library, the Riverdale‐Yonkers Ethical Culture Society, and the Riverdale Y Gallery 18.

In juried shows, my photos have won prizes at the New Rochelle Library, the Bronxville Library, and the Will Library.
