Informed by relics of different historical cultures, my work suggests ideal forms as they exist in nature, the human figure and the man-made world. It imparts a fascination with archeology as it reveals traces of previous life, and offers clues to the distant past.

My pieces imply a multi-planar reality, and a duality of time: past and present. This is presented in a structure in which overlapping and interlocking planes emphasize compressed space. Layers of fragmented, repeated images, transparencies of forms, and multifaceted colliding energies all contribute to a sense of time intersecting with space.

I earned my BA, MA and CAS degrees in Art from Brandeis and NYU.

In Europe, I trained at the Accademia di Torino, and earned sculpture and photography residencies at Ghelardini Marble Laboratory, Instituto di Santa Reparata and The Burren College, Ireland.

Recently, I received a grant from the NYBG for my  Art of the Table: Stories of the Food We Loveinstallation, June-September 2022, and am currently featured in the recent Spring edition of Vellum Magazine, #27. I also received a SU-CASA grant “Open Your Eyes, Blink and Squint,” sponsored by the Bronx Council for the Arts, in conjunction with the NYC Dept of Cultural Affairs and Dept. for the Aging at the Rain Mt. Carmel Older Adult Center, beginning this March.
